(All of the ones that remember the configuration do require me to close down the emulator and re-open it with the controller turned on but that's to be expected.) The Big Ns amazing 1980s home console reinvigorated the videogame market with classic, genre-defining games including Super Mario Bros. pSX saves the configuration but I have to go into the configuration menu and select the XBox controller. However, SNES9x maintains the configuration, as do FCEUX and blueMSX. Virtual Boy Advance and Fusion both exhibit the same behavior. Out of curiosity, I tested this behavior with a few other emulators. I have to shut down Nestopia and re-open it in order to reconfigure the controller. However I could not find a way to bind keyboard keys AND the joypad keys within Nestopia. Its high requirement is due to its accurate emulation of the NES hardware The emulator will play most ROMs and has a strong port for the Apple Macintosh. Even if I turn it on while the emulator is running, it doesn't show up. 10 Posted JanuFinally Setup the NES section of hyperspin and it plays great with a usb joypad through Nestopia. i emailed the developer but he doesnt why It uses highly optimized cycle exact emulation, allowing it to run titles that rely on precise timing, many of which break under inferior emulators. Maybe not a big deal for NES but can be beneficial with other system emus. Having the games individually lets you customize the controls per game.

If the controller is turned off, Nestopia doesn't recognize that it exists. Either add the emu as a steam shortcut, or like I did, add individual games using ice. I've discovered that if I run Nestopia prior to turning on my controller, it erases the input configuration. I use an XBox 360 wireless controller (with the wireless receiver, obviously) on my PC. I just recently started using Nestopia v1.4 for Windows.
